The Quang Binh people’s committee has just proposed to the people’s council to consider, delay increasing the caves’ ticket price, and then they will have the decision to the National Administration of Tourism…

The final decision will be implemented by people’s council
The increase of ticket price for 3 caves “Phong Nha cave – Tien Son cave – Paradise cave” suddenly makes a lot of enterprises get difficulties. According to Mr Tran Xuan Cuong – the General Secretary of Quang Binh Tourism Association – the General of NETIN TRAVEL Tourism & Information Limited Company (NETIN TRAVEL Co.,Ltd) said “increasing the ticket price makes the internal tourism effected
Some of contract units signed before 6-7 months that suddenly increasing without any promotional policies makes their tours broken. Tourist coming to Quang Binh will be decreased and effected to the accommodation and restaurant syste. We would like to propose to delay both the applied time for the ticket price and have the reasonable ticket price increase policies, said Mr Cuong.
In the early of 2015, Quang Binh province had the decision of modifying and applying the ticket price for Phong Nha cave, Tien Son cave, Paradise cave.
Particularly, the paradise cave’s entrance ticket was up to 250.000VnĐ/turn (~$12), the old price was 120.000VnĐ/turn.The children above 1.1 – 1.3 was 125.000VnĐ (old price “60.000VnĐ”). The price ticket for Phong Nha was 150.000VnĐ (old price “80.000VnĐ). Ticket price for Tien Son cave was 80.000VnĐ (old price “40.000VnĐ). The children under 1.3m (free).
The information from the Ministry of Culture – Sport – Tourism, in 2014 the Quang Binh tourism had over 2,7 guest turns coming to Quang Binh. Gross revenue was approximately 2.750 billion, increased 129%
Before the Quang Binh province increased the ticket price in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism had the proposed text sent to Quang Binh to consider to modify the entrance ticket price of tourist destinations and avoid getting effected to tourism business activities.
Clearly, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism offers to delay increasing the ticket price for 3 caves and keep the ticket price with the units signing during 6 months of 2015, have the reasonable policies for domestic tourists and respond the decifit spending programme “The Vietnamese are interested in traveling“
